NEW FOR 2012: MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED TO RACE IN GRASSROOTS SNOCROSS SERIES

August 31st, 2012 -- We will be introducing a new electronic scoring system this winter for our Grassroots Snocross Series. In order to race you will need a transponder card, specific to our system. Transponder cards will be issued when you sign up for either a One-Night Membership or a Seasonal Membership. Full Story

June 6th, 2012 -- The summer season started with a bang… or should we say crunch as round one action of the NOS Energy Drink BeaterCross series kicked off with plenty of bumping, grinding, and barrel rolls as competitors tamed the new track. THANKS FOR ANOTHER GREAT SEASON!

March 29th, 2012 -- For much of the North American snowbelt, the winter season of 2011-2012 will go down as the winter that never was. However nothing could be farther from the truth at ERX Motor Park in Elk River, where the best winter season in the history of the facility was capped off with the first ever International Series of Champions (ISOC) national snocross race. ER STAR NEWS //ERX GETS ITS CHANCE AND DELIVERS

March 16th, 2012 -- Elk River’s Extreme Motorpark (ERX) had its chance to join the list of hosts for the International Series of Champions (ISOC) event last weekend and from all reports came through with flying colors. Drivers had good things to say about the track – mainly about the amount of snow, the many turns and ample room to race (see story) – in ERX’s inaugural ISOC event, and the event drew very well. Katie Shatusky, the track’s media director, said  “for sure 6,000 people over the course of the weekend.  Roughly 2,000 on Friday and 4,500 on Saturday, but those are rough numbers.“ Full Story

February 18th, 2011 -- With high-banked turns and pancake flat straights, the final NOS Energy Drink Grassroots event of the season harkens back to simpler times in the snowmobile industry. A time when open megaphone exhausts, cleated tracks, and high-banked snow oval racing was king. January 17th, 2011 -- The mid-way point of the winter season at ERX is fast approaching, and with it comes the third installment of the NOS Energy Drink Grassroots Snocross Series. The third race in the six race series will have certain country twang throughout the evening. Featuring both old school and the latest country music, the evening of snocross racing will feature a cowboy and cowgirl costume contest, a search for the biggest ten-gallon hat, and a the new twist to always popular boot race for the kids. December 3rd, 2010 -- After Mother Nature teased us with warm temps well into the early part of November, an Arctic chill finally descended upon the Minneapolis/St. Paul area and ERX quickly transformed into a snocross mecca. With four-guns blowing the white stuff around the clock and the reliable power of Caterpillar generation purring on the sidelines courtesy of Ziegler Cat, ERX is open for the season with snocross practice running four days a week. ERX Track Expansion - Bigger and Better

June 11, 2009 -- After just a few weeks of open practice, the ERX track has been expanded giving riders more track time and more challenges. With more than 700 additional cubic yards of premium dirt hauled in, the track was expanded to add just over 20-seconds to the average lap time. Full Story
