SHEFFIELD PLASTICS DELIVERS TECHNOLOGY THROUGH MOTORPARK CHALET

No Ordinary Windows; Motor Park Chalet Feature High Tech Polycarbonate Makrolon-15 Panels

Partnerships at ERX Motor Park go far beyond the banners and signage you’ll find adorning the track, and the new two-story Motor Park Chalet is a prime example. Knowing spectator viewing would be a primary function of the new facility, ERX co-owner Chris Carlson called on one of his business partners knowing they would offer the perfect solution.
To the casual observer, the 9 massive glass-like panes that adorn the front and side viewing areas of the new building appear to be little more than really large windows. But upon closer inspection you’ll soon discover these panels are much more. Thanks to a generous donation from a key supplier and sponsor of Sportech Inc. and Carlson Motorsports, Sheffield Plastics delivered a commercial grade window material known as Makrolon-15. The polycarbonate commercial grade window material features an anti-fog, anti-abrasion coating and is nearly bullet proof.
We wanted to create large viewing windows,” said ERX co-owner Todd Plaisted. “Traditional windows would have required additional space for casings as well as the potential risk of breakage. The material supplied to us from Sheffield Plastics is literally just a few steps removed from bullet-proof glass and it allowed us to create very large, obstruction free openings.”

The new Motor Park Chalet is open during every ERX event, and the private 10’x10’ VIP viewing areas on the second level are available for rent for several upcoming Grassroots and ISOC Regional races. For more information on VIP viewing space as well as rental of the entire Motor Park Chalet for private events, contact Katie at Katie@erxmotorpark.com or 763-274-7072.

There’s fast and then there’s professionally fast. If you think the action during a Thursday night Grassroots race is exciting, you’ll do a double take when you make plans to attend the ISOC Regional Mid-Winter Weekend, January 22-23 at ERX Motor Park. Featuring some of the fastest riders in the sport, the ERX Mid-Winter Weekend will feature two complete days of action on one of the largest snocross tracks found anywhere.
Many riders on the ISOC circuit were buzzing after competing at ERX during the early winter one-day regional event this past December. Many couldn’t get over the size of the track and the multitude of lines and passing opportunities it presented.
We pride ourselves on building one of the best snocross tracks found anywhere in the sport,” said ERX co-owner Chris Carlson. “We try to build as many different lines as possible into the track… it creates more passing and ultimately better racing for the racers and fans.”
The oversized track is joined by the new fan-friendly Motor Park Chalet creating one of the best fan experiences in the sport, be it on the regional or national level.
Spectator gates open both days at 9:00am and tickets are $25 for an adult weekend pass or $15 for a daily, children ages 6-16 are just $5 with kids 5 and under admitted free. All tickets include a free pit pass. Visit the ISOC Regional Schedule for more details.
