VINTAGE SNOW OVAL UNDER THE LIGHTS - GET YOUR LEAFER READY!

Year-End Celebration at ERX Thursday, March 11th

Our final Thursday Night Under the Lights event of the winter season is poised to be our best event ever as the staff at ERX adds another twist to our already twisted “run-what-ya-brung” format. We will be transforming the ERX snocross track into a high-banked snow oval with all-natural terrain straight-aways, harkening back to the days of early snowmobile racing pre-ice ovals. The high-banked corners will make for plenty of action with sleds going 3-5 five wide, just like snowmobile racing of the late 1960’s.

The event will feature three vintage leaf spring classes: one-lunger, air-cooled and liquid-cooled as well as a vintage IFS class, plus all of our traditional Grassroots classes will be racing as well. If you’ve been putting off racing at ERX because you’ve been intimidated by the snocross track or you just didn’t want to bust up your classic leaf spring sled, this is the event for you. From trail sleds to 120’s , if you’ve always wanted your buddies to put-up or shut-up, now you can put it all on the line at ERX.


Plus our end of year celebration will feature tons of prizes as we host all of our fan favorite games plus a few new ones. Fans will vote on their favorite “ugly-betty” sled and the crazy Costume of Cross contest returns with a vintage twist. Racers and fans are encouraged to wear vintage snowmobile suits, boots, old helmets and choppers as we attempt to find the best dressed vintage snowmobile fan and racer.

Finally, we will be awarding trophies for our 2009-2010 Grassroots Snocross Series Points Champions! Final results will be posted here soon, if you are the points champion of your class make sure you stick around after the races to claim your trophy!

    Registration is just $35 per class and includes practice and two complete races. Register early as this is sure to be our biggest Thursday night event of the year. Great racing, food, drinks and family fun are all on tap at ERX.
